We prepare the cooked snails to be preserved in the best possible conditions and we pack them without affecting the quality and flavour of the snail. Being able to offer our canned snails guarantees a long shelf life, as they expire one year after their production date. It is important to note that it is a sterilised product, and should be kept in a cool, dry place.

In this format we offer two sizes of jars: 180 g and 400 g net drained weight. We have two sizes of snails: small and medium.

Selection and cleaning

A first selection is made to discard broken snails, snails that are too small or too large.

First, the quality is checked and snails that are not suitable for cooking are discarded.

Snails are selected in the average size of between 4 and 6g.

Once selected, they are carefully washed to clean and awaken the snail.

Cooking

They are cooked with sunflower oil, spices, aromatic plants and salted water for about 90 minutes.

Finally, they are separated from the cooking liquid and cooled quickly to improve and preserve their organoleptic qualities and also for better preservation.

Packaging

The snail is packaged in the following sizes:

Small, measures 2 to 2.5 cm and weighs 3 to 4 g.
The medium snail measures 2.5 to 3 cm and weighs 4 to 6 g.

The snails are sold in glass jars of two different sizes. The jars are first filled with the snails and then covered with oil for preservation.

The jars with the snails are sterilised without altering their taste or quality.
